Son could also leave if Kane goes

Ever since the partnership between Son and Kane came together, it has been one of the outstanding accomplishments in Levy’s time as director (apart from one season when Spurs won the League cup). Without that partnership, we might just have fallen even further behind this season and previous seasons.

We are currently seventh in the table and still battling for a European Champions League place (even though it looks unlikely), but would we have been able to contemplate anywhere as near as 7th or even touching the cloth of European Champions glory if it wasn’t for Kane and Son partnership which has led to so many goals for us?

So, will Son stay if Kane goes to look for Glory and trophies elsewhere? In fact, would anybody stay if Kane goes?

Alan Hutton won has a winners medal for winning the League Cup with us in 2008, said, “I feel that they need to get a manager over the line soon. To really put that plan of what direction the club are going in place. Your top players, if Harry Kane goes, then Son’s looking about thinking: ‘Right well, he’s away, maybe I want to go somewhere else and try something.’ I think they need someone in with a plan. Even a project, moving forward for the next four or five years, where this club wants to go. It’s a massive club, you’ve got everything in place at the moment to compete at the top.”

Any manager that Levy could attract would come to Spurs in the hope of working with Kane and Son. For the pair to leave could be devasting for any manager. Knowing Levy, he will not fork out the money to pay for the equivalent talent if they went but looked for cheaper options.

Thoughts

I think Son will go if Kane goes. Son is at the club for the same reasons that Kane is there, trophies, Glory and money. And if Kane leaves, he will realise that if anybody has any ambitions of winning trophies, then it won’t be at Tottenham while Levy is Chairman. And if that happened I doubt if Kane and Son will be the last ones leaving, either.

What are your thoughts?

It is finally here, a new super book about the greats, Glories and all you want to know about the Tottenham great players (we are not worthy!) who have graced White Hart Lane and beyond. Sixty years ago this month, the Greatest Football club in the world won the double with probably the most outstanding team on this planet.

Has your eye’s seen the Glory? If yes (or even no) click HERE and follow the link, then they/ you will, and for those that are longer in the tooth (in other words, old like me)…. be prepared to be dazzled all over again!
