Harry Kane is unhappy about playing on Sunday!

According to the Sun paper, Harry Kane is unhappy with the club over the prospect of facing City in the club’s curtain-raiser at the Tottenham stadium.

The paper claims that Kane hoped to be left out of the squad; despite this, Nuno Espirito Santo wants him to face City. Either starting or on the bench.

Kane will start training today (11th) after completing his self-isolation period. While isolating he has been staying at the club’s Lodge accommodation near Hotspur Way.

Some of those that work close to the club believe Kane should have returned later, rather than earlier, in a bid to be disregarded for Sunday’s game. To me, Kane isn’t that sort of person.

As for Kane leaving, well, that will depend on Daniel Levy getting an offer in the region of £160million. Which probably means £160million or higher.

Opinion

The trouble with newspaper articles is they are more interested in selling than giving factual news, and anything to do with Kane sells papers. No doubt it will be a different story tomorrow. But saying that, some newspapers do have inside knowledge, and some of their “exclusives” end up becoming fact. So it is a case of wait and see, and don’t forget that the Transfer window comes to a close on the 31st of August. By then, all will be revealed.

Alasdair Gold, the Spurs supporting journalist, has often claimed that the club/ Levy’s stance remains that Harry Kane is not for sale.

Whether he stays or goes, we need to build and build strong, or we won’t be getting into the top four any day soon. We’ve got a grand stadium, but with a team that is, sadly, suspect (at the moment).

Be safe, Glenn

  1. If he doesn’t want to play dock his wages and put him in the reserves till either he is sold or
wakes up and realise the club made the club can break him

  2. He may be unhappy, but that unhappiness is his own doing, possibly encouraged by his brother. Meanwhile he is a professional athlete being paid an absolute fortune by anyone’s standards, so he needs to put his personal feelings aside and play for his team.

  3. I don’t like the thought that Harry should be unhappy to play Man City, if he is, As he has no ties to that club what so ever. Until he is not a Tottenham player, he should be putting Tottenham Hotspurs first and be willing to fight tooth and nail for this club. I hope he still does. Why would he be unhappy? If he wants to go to Man City, I’m not sure what playing this game has to do about anything except perhaps showing them what they are missing, and stump up with the fees that Tottenham would release him. He has been with us for 10years and he is unhappy to play for us….really?.

    1. It is all to do with politics. Most footballers today are mercenaries. The money and trophies are the objective, with money being at the top of the list.

  4. We really don’t know that he is unhappy about playing against Man City. I would understand that if he went to City then nit play against us certainly not at our place anyway. He is either definitely going sometime before the 31st or not at all. Personally I think he will be gone as soon as Levy has got us a good striker and a nbr 10. I think Kane has gone about it all wrong and had this planned either before his holiday or certainly during it. Ig he is listening to his brother then it is a big mistake as his brother is very naive..
