Daniel rubs his hands: The club offloads £40m worth of wages.

Yes, the club or Daniel Levy or both have done a wondrous thing and saved themselves money by offloading nearly £40m of yearly wages during the summer break. (as reported by various papers, including the Sun).
For a start, Gareth Bale was on a massive £240,000-per-week during his season-long loan and is now back in Madrid; now they have the headache of overpaying him. Then there is Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela, who have also gone and were both on £100,000-per-week or more. Moussa Sissoko was taking £95,000-per-week. Then there were Danny Rose, Paulo Gazzaniga, Serge Aurier all were earning between £30,000 to £60,000-per-week, respectively.
Carlos Vinicius, who joined the club on loan from Benfica, was earning £30,000-per-week; however, we didn’t take up the option to make his move permanent.
Joe Hart and Cameron Carter-Vickers both went to Celtic in the two-team Scottish League; they were on £27,500-per-week and £20,000-per-week respectively. Joe Hart moved permanently while Carter-Vickers has joined on loan.
But the good news doesn’t stop there for Levy (oh, no!); Juan Foyth also turned his loan move to Europa League winners Villarreal into a permanent deal. This is now saving the Master another £30,000-per-week in salary. I feel a trip to Uranus coming on! The smiles must be beaming from every orifice.
Yes, all those that I have mentioned have saved Levy a huge £822,000-per-week, thus making it an overall saving of £39,480,000. Oh, the joy on our board’s faces.
My thinking on the matter
Daniel Levy took a few million pay cut when the pandemic came along, thus reducing his money to a pittance of just roundabout £5 million. How does he survive on that? I hear you shout, put up the season ticket prices so that he can put back his wages to the pre-pandemic days is one answer. Still, now he has saved over £39 million, then that will help to restore his wages to what a man of Levy’s qualities deserve and probably will leave season ticket prices alone… then again, maybe not!
However, Levy owes thanks to Fabio Paratici for those marvellous savings. Some on that list were earning way more than what they proved to be worth on the pitch. So, sanity is restored, and Daniel is a happy man once again. Freeing up almost £40m worth of wages is no easy task over one window. Nonetheless, nothing is impossible other than winning silverware when you have a team dedicated to saving money and making money.

Good for the club finances and good to move on players not in nuno’s plans. We have a good squad and need to promote younger players from the ranks. Additional signings now need to prove themselves and add to the healthy challenge for first team places.

Agreed. I feel excited about the new season, and of course we are currently at the top while the Gooners languish at the bottom (you can’t get a better start than that). We have potential and of course a player that is worth £150 million in our ranks. I hope Nuno can create a winning formula out of the concoction he has to start winning silverware.
