Match Preview: Norwich v Spurs (all or nothing!)
At Carrow Road… 4 pm Kick off
Could this match decide whether Conte stays or goes… will we get fourth, or do we do a Spursy and fuck it all up? We were in the driving seat, then Woolwich and now us… This last game for us will decide who will have the last fourth spot.
Then there will be relegation issues; who will drop alongside Norwich and Watford; Burnley or Leeds? And who will win the league?
Tickets for the Norwich game are like gold dust, with everybody wanting a ticket. Not everybody in my group managed to get one. Luckily Mel and I did and we will be travelling from 7.30 Sunday morning and stopping for a pub meal sometime around noon, then on to the match. This has got to be one of the most exciting end of seasons for some time.
Games to look out for, apart from our game:
Woolwich v the Toffees(Come on Everton!!!!)
The scousers v the Brummies (Wolves)
The Richer part of Manchester (City) v the Brummies (Villa)
Then there is Brentford v Leeds and Burnley v the conquers of Woolwich, Newcastle United. Yes, many “ifs,” but so long as we do our job properly, well, that is all that matters.
The match…
Our top-four destiny is in our own hands against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday. After belittling our arch-rivals Woolwich 3-0 last week, we then backed it up with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Burnley last Sunday. That victory, coupled with Woolwich’s submission at Newcastle on Monday night, has put us in pole position to secure a top-four spot.
Norwich City have already been relegated and come into the final game after holding Wolves to a 1-1 draw. Norwich have won and drawn just five and seven games, respectively, losing the other 25 matches. Their goal difference is -56.
TEAM NEWS
Spurs
Harry Kane should be fit to face Norwich despite feeling unwell. He is thought to be suffering from the same virus which affected several staff and players last week.
Norwich City
Mathias Normann has recovered from a knock sustained during last weekend’s draw with Wolves. Billy Gilmour has returned to Chelsea for treatment after rolling his ankle, while defender Ben Gibson struggles with a back issue.
Thoughts and prediction
I don’t think Spurs will do a “Spursy” this time around and will go out and win this game decisively. I know Norwich will give us a game as they have nothing else to play for. Nevertheless, we have got Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane and Son, and I don’t see the Canaries holding out, let alone beating us.
We have battled so hard to get into this position, where we just need a point to get back into the Champions League after two seasons away. I don’t see us falling at the final hurdle.
My Prediction: 0-4

I am currently a Premium Season Ticket holder (West Stand) in the new stadium. Before that – at White Hart Lane – a season ticket holder in various parts of the ground (mainly in the North stand).
Before becoming a season ticket holder, I stood on the shelf and various other parts of the ground since the 1960s (the season of the double). In 1987 I became one of the first to hold a Spurs Membership card. I was also a life long member of the Spurs supporters club (now defunct).
I go to all home, away and abroad matches.
I was born in 1955, Edgware, London. I currently live in Berkshire.
I also collect all Spurs books, Spurs handbooks, Spurs programmes etc.
Previously, I wrote for Spurs Fanzines: The Spur, Spur of the Moment, My Eyes have seen the Glory and various other Spurs fanzines’. I also wrote for the SpursWeb app & its website.
